A plate that changes color in response to a magnetic field. The main application is the satisfaction of curiosity. Can be useful for discovering hidden magnets in some devices.
It is a laminated grainy dark green flexible record. Dimensions 5*5cm, laminate – 66*96mm:
In a magnetic field, the plate brightens between the poles (apparently where the magnetic field lines are located along its surface).
I still don’t know how it works, so I’m giving pictures of different magnets and the visualizer’s reaction to them. As it turned out, a rare ferrite magnet has poles on both sides – usually their structure is more complicated.
